March 23 devotion

Just because we are quarantined does not mean we cannot enjoy the world our Lord created. Yesterday Marion and I went to the beach.

No one else was there (perhaps because it was only 37 degrees) and so social distancing was not a problem.

There are things we can do and still be safe and we should take advantage of them.

A walk in the park or on the beach is just what the doctored ordered. Most restaurants have take-out or will deliver just to break the monotony of cooking.

Check in on older friends and neighbors who may feel trapped at this time.

And of course now is a great time to read and study the scriptures.

John 16:31-33 (NASB)
31  Jesus answered them, "Do you now believe?
32  "Behold, an hour is coming, and has already come, for you to be scattered, each to his own home, and to leave Me alone; and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.
33  "These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world."

This too will pass!
