May 6 Devotion

It is times like these that show us what we really think is important.

Whether you drive a Hyundai or a Cadillac the circumstances are the same.

Whether you live in an apartment, a humble house or a palatial mansion, the circumstances are the same.

Virus’s don’t discriminate according to wealth or means.

We find that family, friends and loved ones are far more important than anything money can buy.

Check in on those you care about. A simple phone call or text or e-mail can let people we are thinking about them.

Many are suffering not from the virus itself but from the fears of losing control of their lives. Loss of income, a job, future security can harm just as much as the sickness itself.

Continue in prayer for one another and keep in touch.

Proverbs 29:25-26 (ESV)
25  The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is safe.
26  Many seek the face of a ruler, but it is from the LORD that a man gets justice.

Philippians 4:4-7 (ESV)
4  Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.
5  Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand;
6  do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
7  And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

This too shall pass
