April 1 Devotion

So where do you get your strength at this time?

The Psalmist gives us encouragement

Psalm 94:17-19 (NASB)
17  If the LORD had not been my help, My soul would soon have dwelt in the abode of silence.
18  If I should say, "My foot has slipped," Your lovingkindness, O LORD, will hold me up.
19  When my anxious thoughts multiply within me, Your consolations delight my soul.

Not exactly scripture but one of my favorite songs puts it this way

And a new day will dawn, for those who stand strong

And the forests will echo with laughter

Led Zeppelin

So, don’t worry. God is never blind to your prayers and never silent to your pains. He sees, He hears, and He will deliver you.

Let me end with a different hymn.

Through many dangers, toils, and snares, I have already come.

Tis grace has brought me safe thus far, and grace will lead me home.

John Newton

This too shall pass
