There are
many who feel alone during this time of quarantine. Totally understandable.
But to put
things into perspective consider our Lord and Savior.
His own
mother and brothers tried to put Him away thinking he was crazy.
His closest
friends could not even stay awake long enough to pray with Him in the garden.
Once He was arrested,
they completely deserted Him.
One denied
knowing Him and another denied even knowing Him.
Even His own
heavenly Father abandoned Him while He hung dying on a cross.
But all of
that was temporary.
When Sunday
came everything changed.
The tomb
which held Him for three days was now empty.
He underwent
all of that for us.
Ephesians
1:7-8 (NASB)
7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace
8 which He lavished on us. In all wisdom and insight
7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace
8 which He lavished on us. In all wisdom and insight
Living, He loved
us
Dying, He
saved us
Buried, He
carried our sins away
Rising, He
justified freely forever
Oh Glorious
day.
Psalm 73:26 (NASB)
26 My flesh and my heart may fail, But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
26 My flesh and my heart may fail, But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
This too
will pass.
