April 2 Devotion

The Passover is coming, and I am reminded of a time when Gods people were just as afraid as we are today.

While we have seen many of our fellow citizens succumb to this virus imagine if everything, we have gone through happened in one night.

Every first born of Egypt died in one night.

But through this terrifying evening Gods people were kept safe under the blood of the lamb.

The next morning Israel marched out of Egypt, out from decades of bondage and on their way to the land God promised Abraham.

We must never forget the God we serve.

He is the bringer of peace even in the midst of the storm.

Remember what the apostles asked when Jesus calmed the storm that terrified them.

“Who is this man that even the wind and waves obey Him”?

That is the God we serve.

This too will pass
